KATIA PÉREZ FUENTES is an artist, administrator, and neo-classical astrologer. KPF considers themselves a creative problem solver, overall. They're passionate about opportunities for self-actualization through leisure; creating active experiences for 'rest, play, ritual, celebration, and learning' as ways to consciously build engagements that promote an enhanced quality of life outside of capitalist constraints. KPF culturally identifies as a queer, brown, non-binary Mexican American migrant of mixed-indigenous descent. An advocate for inclusive mentorship, they are a community builder with a radical intersectional lens and antiracist framework, who often times serve a multi-lingual translator. Pérez has over six years of experience leading equity strategies as an organizer, program facilitator, public arts manager, and museum professional with ties to Albuquerque, Chicago, and beyond.

KPF's creative practice is a blend of metaphysical and visual arts. Their studio work includes regular sketch-booking, video, and other forms of traditional craft; They are coming from a background as a muralist painter and socially engaged artist thanks to their early mentorships. Meanwhile their professional training with ‘divinations’ is an ongoing process with ancient, trance, and healing arts. Currently, their research investigates patterns through the manipulation of neuroplasticity for cultural re-conditioning. KPF is a student of the Oraculos School of Astrology, lead by Uranian & Renaissance astrologer Mychal A Bryan; The Divine Feminine School of Hypnosis with author & Clinical Practitioner, Shauna Cummins; and Introductions to Mesoamerican Curanderismo by Shaman & Spiritual Alchemist Erika Buenaflor. KPF is currently the community coordinator for various astro-initiatives directed by Kirah Tabourn of The Strology Inc. Perez a first-generation college graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

I’m a projector who is solar and saturnian in nature. Incredibly independent yet also deeply intuitive, I have been told I have a nice way of explaining things. Right now I find myself in periods of experimentation while I recover from burn out, working with a variety of tools. I’m constantly inspired by the vivid colors found across the high desert and the visual rythms of familiar textiles. I have an obsessive relationship with the mountains and skies. I love metaphores, cryptic symbols, and asking everyone for their sign.

Come have a one-on-one session with me or catch me sharing my current fascinations on social media.
